| Arnold Snyder
Arnold Snyder is one of the world’s most prolific writers
of blackjack books and articles. Within his writings in
regular columns for “Card Player” and “Casino Player” is
Snyder’s sometimes outrageous and always amusing and educational
view of not only the game of blackjack but the players,
casinos and personnel that inhabit its world.
He has also written and published his own journal specifically
for professional gamblers entitled “Blackjack Forum” in
which he discusses the form of card counting known as shuffle
tracking (comparing the various shuffles of the deck and
analyzing their profit potential). Since its inception
in 1981, “Blackjack Forum” has been one of the oldest and
most trusted sources for professional blackjack players.
In his collection, “Blackjack Wisdom,” Snyder writes a Bachelor
of Counting series, which shows how he would teach card
counting if it was offered as a college course. He writes
about the history of card counting and learning to analyze
conditions before setting out to play a table. Snyder is
also the author of a famed series of 64-page guides to beating
the house. Each guide is specifically based on whether
the player is involved in a 1, 2, 4, 6 or 8-deck game.
